Prosan International B.V., a medical device company, founded on October 5th 1989, Arnhem – The Netherlands.
The mission of Prosan International B.V. is to produce and sell (newly designed) copper Intra-Uterine Devices (IUD’s) under the brand name Flexi-T, such that we can assure the patients and users of our products, that these may be used safely and that the products function according to their intended use.
Flexi-T IUD’s are intended for Intra Uterine Contraception for nulliparous and parous women and for postcoital interception. Flexi-T is developed to optimize efficacy and to reduce unwanted side effects to a minimum.
Flexi-T IUD’s are produced in The Netherlands, according to the requirements of the Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC and EN-ISO 7439.
The area of sales, mainly to distributors, was initially concentrated in the countries of the E.E.A. but meanwhile more and more sales are made to countries located in North Africa, The Middle East, South America, Canada, and East-Bloc countries.
